Clustered Spires

Frederick, Maryland is known as the city of the Clustered Spires, because of the many beautiful church steeples that tower over the little downtown historic district. These are two of about 6 or 7 that are clearly visible from the surrounding hills. The one on the right is from St. John Regional Catholic Church, where I was a parishioner for 10 years. The interior of the church is quite splendid - it's a shame I didn't get a picture of the richly painted ceiling.
