Gallery of Modern Art

The Gallery of Modern Art sits facing out onto Queen Street in the centre of Glasgow. I was in town this morning to buy a couple of Christmas presents and this was the only thing I photographed, which is pretty poor of me given the range of things I could have photographed.

However despite its infamy I decided not to include the statue of Wellington with the traffic cone on its head even though it is the most famous thing about the statue.

Glasgow City council says it costs them £100 every time they have to remove the cone, so why don't they just leave it where it is, save all the money they waste removing it and let everybody enjoy the site of Wellington with a traffic cone on his head.
