Balloon

After we'd breakfasted and waved our friends off on their journey south we went up to the allotment - the wee plastic hoose had been dismantled by the wind again, so we took the hint and put it away in the shed.

Later we went for a short amble along the Water of Leith; the ducks were all sporting their smart new plumage and the remainder of the swan family (two adults and three adolescent females) were very resolute in chasing away one of the adolescent males who was being a bit slow to leave. One of his sisters chased him down the river and even bit him on the bum. I think he'd be wise to take the hint.

I had been wondering where I might find a red balloon or two and lo! There it was, stuck under the overhanging bushes of the opposite bank.
