Architecture and Architrave

We live in a house, built about 1904, which has been converted into three flats.

There are some very interesting architectural features such as the original mouldings on some walls.

This photograph shows one of several inside doors which have an A Frame architrave.

The very deep skirting boards go all the way round and together are a bit of a mystery. I have never seen anything like these anywhere else.

The original parquet floors throughout also add to the atmosphere of the whole flat.

If anyone has an an idea about these features, we would be pleased to hear about it.

Perhaps it is an Arts &Crafts design.
