Friday night, Ingleton

The Kirkby Lonsdale "mini-band" appears to be picking up more gigs than their grown-up counterpart. Tonight they were playing Ingleton Community Centre.

Having become completely blasé about these live performances, Dan & Abi, along with their bandmates, took the stage to play for the rather large assembly of pensioners, who appeared to enjoyed the show enormously, even singing along with some of the carols. Impressively, an audible component of the audience knew all of the verses to Good King Wenceslas.

After the performance, the kids were all treated to cakes and sandwiches, although the latter remained largely untouched. While they were doing this, I wandered around the community centre and contemplated* a minor act of dissent.

*committed.
