Love and Affection
I'm not sure that the sentiments of today's Song Title Blip Challenge really suit the image exactly, but this capture of a not often seen moment seemed to fit the title at least.
This shot shows a mother Kereru feeding her fledgling 'crop milk', a protein-rich milky secretion from the walls of the parents' crops. Kereru are one of the very few birds to do this.
I'm pretty sure that Joan Armatrading didn't have this in mind when she wrote 'Love and Affection' however, but it's a endearing scene nonetheless.
This is also the last shot of my week's Song Title Blips and it's been fun. I think this might be thrown out to the general community for another challenge week some time - anyone keen?
