Feuerzangenbowle 2013

Tonight we hosted our annual Feuerzangenbowle party - it was a really lovely evening with a small group of friends, an array of delectable hors d'oeuvres, and a fair quantity of alcohol, some of which we set on fire.

Our friend Brett, who lived here for nearly a year with his family on an expat assignment, is back in town on business and was able to join us - a special treat! We were only 15 people this year, a much smaller crowd than usual, but that made it really easy to visit with everyone - an intimate evening - or as the the Germans would say, "es war ein gelungener Abend" :)
