Bleak Midwinter

Trying very hard to find something to blip that isn't a bird... I'm sure that quite a few of my photos will share this title in the coming weeks. The way the setting sun lights up the ice crystals is pretty but it was so cold out that the autofocus on my macro lens refused to operate (it's a bit dodgy at the best of times). So it was a quick smash and grab this afternoon, so to speak.
