Wise Pine

I was first shown this Scots Pine tree in 1986 by Y McLeod who was felling the spruce trees around it. Y had planted the spruce some 40 years previously but the Pine had been there a few hundred years before that. Now another crop of spruce trees slowly edges up towards the lower branches of the scots pine but they will be gone in another 20 years or so leaving the Scots pine alone to impress another generation of admirers of trees.
