Wall-E For Christmas

Wall-E was given to me several years ago by family and he has spent all his time sitting on my desk at work, providing a bright spot (no pun intended since he's wearing Christmas lights).

A few months ago, he was spotted by a super neat young man named Colton who is a legal assistant in a local law office and who is a collector of all things Wall-E. He told me that the Wall-E figurine is now collector's item and hard to find. He also said it was the one Wall-E character he wanted but didn't have, so I told him that when I retired I'd make sure Wall-E went to him.

Well, I enjoy Wall-E but I couldn't get over how excited Colton was about him and so I decided that Colton shouldn't have to wait until I retire since I don't even know when that will be. I found what ended up being the perfect container, wrapped him up and took him to Colton's office yesterday. Come to find out that Colton has a "Disney/Pixar" Christmas tree with a huge collection of figurines and he and I share a fanatical love of all things animated.

Needless to say, Colton was thrilled. There are few things in the world that can match the feeling of giving something to someone that makes them really, really happy. Wall-E is now part of a collection and since Colton is probably younger than most of my socks, he'll be enjoyed for many, many years.
