Saturday: Shopping From Above

Well, today was decidedly chilly but still no sign of the snow that we had this time last year.  I will confess that I will feel a bit cheated if we don't get any.

We headed into the town centre this morning to meet our cat sitter for coffee and make arrangements for when we are away next week.  Despite the fact that it is cold, we were still  able to sit outside, with the help of overhead heaters, blankets provided by the cafe and being suitably wrapped up.

After that, a bit of Christmas shopping, including in this wonderful example of socialist era department store.  Even the staff are of another era, with the women wearing tan pop socks...........I kid you not.  Anyway, we ran into Erik The Norwegian there and he told us that apparently it is closing soon - we might mock it, but it would be very sad to see it go.

368 - my colleagues were impressed that I knew this band.  Apparently, in Yugoslav days all you had to do was pop their records on and they would get any party going.   Perhaps not with this track though......
