Chantilly lace...

Up in the hills again, after two weeks. We had to face a massive traffic jam, in spite of leaving early, but it was worth the suffering just for the welcome from the dogs. Kayla's popularity rating plummeted later, though. I had just put a loin of pork into a marinade and popped out to the garden for some rosemary. As I returned, I heard a thud from the kitchen and flew in just in time to rescue our dinner - phew!

Forgot to bring the dongle, so now at the golf club for the wifi. There was a competition for beginners today and we arrived in time for a very noisy and very jolly prize-giving. The club is in dire financial straights, so it's great that our young captain has come up with this initiative. As my camera was at hand, I wound up being the official photographer.

Time to go home and walk the dogs - probably in the dark and the rain.
