Those Christmas Tunes

We had our Christmas dinner today. It starts 15 minutes early with the infants and then the big uns. The staff hand round the plates and clear up before we get fed. As you can imagine they barely get a chance to put down their spoon before their plate is whisked away, table wiped and chair piled up. There are always 2 little slow coaches around as we set out tables in a line for us and unlike the kids we not only get to serve ourselves and thus in my case avoid the dreaded brussel sprouts but we also get fizzy juice. Nothing stronger alas. This year we actually got a longer lunch so we could have a coffee in the staff room. Sam stupidly had planned social dancing after lunch everyone else had more relaxing pastimes before the school went into the hall for a Christmas sing along. A big well done to Tracy and the girls a super meal.
