Rain Threatening over Wylam

I took a quick run to the wedding photographer this morning to pick up our wedding album. They have made such a wonderful job of it, we're really pleased.

Rain was forecast for later in the day and I was determined to try to get an outdoor blip today so I stopped off in Wylam to take a photograph. As I walked across the bridge over the Tyne, I spotted this shot of the village with the dark clouds overhead. Fortuitously the barrier had come down at the level crossing to stop the traffic and I was able to stand in the middle of the road to take the shot. A short time later I saw a gorgeous full rainbow in the sky but by that time I was in the car and typically there was nowhere to stop! Hope your Saturday was full of promise!
