Dreaming of a green christmas

A local Green Party councillor asked me if I would go along and take photos at their annual Christmas Fair this morning, which I was happy to do.

Compared to the madness of the city centre it was a lovely event - opened by a local children's author, Joyce Dunbar, and attended by Father Christmas who you can see here.

There was cake in abundance, some stalls representing causes such as CND, Stop the War and Friends of the Earth (amongst others) and lots of fabulous crafts for sale.

I had to leave at about 12.30 to skip off into the hell of the city for a busking session with the ukulele society. It was perfect busking weather and we raised £70 for a local children's charity - Musical Keys.

A couple of pints in the pub (to get warm again, you understand) then home.

A nice, feelgood kind of day.
