The Boys

Look at this cuteness. Maddox and his daddy battling through dinner time. Babies are so sweet when they first learn to eat solid foods, with their tongues all confused about how to work and the food sliding down their chin to be scraped gently after every attempted bite. It's funny and compelling watching the family dynamics here. Baby is, rightfully, the center of the world. His momma teaches him new things daily, works with him to sit up, roll over, laugh. Her neck aches from carrying his chubby little body all around, but she can't bear to put him down. Daddy speaks to him as if they understand one another - and maybe they do. Daddy says, "Why are you doing that, my son?" And Maddox just looks at him and pushes the given spoonful out with his tongue again but then leans forward with his mouth open like he is starving for more. Ahhhh, these moments. xo
