I have a whole day in Paris on my own. W1 and D3 have gone to Euro Disney.
So I went on the tram that goes south from La Defense. Caught an RER to Parc Andre Citroen, built on an old car factory. A very modern park with fabulous fountains and canals, beautiful style of planting and very peaceful. From here by metro to the Cimetiere du Montparnasse, where the Blip comes from.
I have worried that my interest in graves is not normal. However I only take photos, at Jim Morrisons grave they have taken a lot of the earth. Here they seem to leave things. Why would Serge Gainsbourg want a bright red Japanese webble doll? I might be odd but there are a lot odder out there.
On to Ile St Louis for late lunch and then to the Bastille and down Boulevard Daumesnil to view the artist studios/shops and back on the high level walkway come park.
Wonderful day. Feet hurt .Camera fingers tired. Hundreds of pictures to choose from. Looks like most will be on Flickr.
