My local supermarket had closed for substantial renovations which are scheduled to last some time. Their solution? To send two food trucks three days a week to serve the steady stream of locals with basic provisions. I'm told this service targets the elderly who are less likely to use the online grocery shopping site. Its also very useful for us ex pats who struggle to read kanji.
