Virginia Lake

is frozen, except for a relatively small water hole that the swimming birds kept open. There are many hundreds of birds, small and big ones and even some geese that I have never seen before. I posted the lake here so you can get an impression of the size. All the birds were looking in the same direction, even while sleeping, which surprised me. As I said, I am talking about a great number of ducks, geese, gulls etc. That caused their little orange sticklegs to give a special pattern.
Here just a few Mallards. I love the green shine on their heads.
