Nooks and Crannies

Late night shopping to get Christmas presents. The streets of Edinburgh old town seemed full of contrast - bright cheerful Christmas lights on the one hand and then very dark and foreboding in the nooks and crannies like this narrow close. As you may be able to see from the many steps, it runs steeply from the Royal Mile to the bottom of Cockburn Street.
