Tones
Spent some time looking for tracks to edit to make some new ringtones.
Nero Wave Editor is really good for it.
Hope to have an Iphone soon and as with everything Apple it's a bit of a pickle to go through to make your own ringtones.
Did some Fall, New Order, Rocket From the Crypt and Jay Z stuff.
The Walkman, like most machines, wants to categorise music - New Order are apparently "post-punk"!
I despise categories and pigeon-holes and those that promote their use in the music industry. It really doesn't help. It's like setting your limits as to what you are prepared to experience.
I watched a short programme about Britp*p earlier. It was, as expected, a lot of absolute tosh and didn't reflect the true music scene in Britain at the time but merely what the media perceived as what the public should be listening to - Blur and Oasis (ho-hum) which resulted in popular music becoming nothing more than (cheap and nasty) fashion.
There were so many bands who were vastly more original with so much more to say than the likes of "Wonderwall".
Singapore Grand Prix tomorrow and it all looks very glamorous despite the corruption that seems to dog the sport.

PS: The track shown on the screen is mislabelled as Run2 on this album, which was a slightly more straight dance version, when the track is actually the original Run, one of my favourite New Order songs.
