Seed Heads

Still struggling to find my mojo as a blipper at the moment but saw these seed heads when I was walking the dogs this morning and thought they might look quite good in mono. I am not sure what the plant/weed is (can anybody help ?) but the winter remains look very much like little crowns. Well worth seeing close up so try LARGE. I might even do a macro of them at some stage. Not a particularly inspiring image with just a strong diagonal but I had to clean up the background considerably as there were a lot of intrusive looking stalks from nearby plants. Thanks be praised for "Fill > Context Aware'" as it does a great job of removing the blemishes once you have selected them.
