Craziness for our little star
Back blip - So today is the day of Luke's homecoming. We were dying to go and support him but he was arriving in town at 1:30 and I was working and the kids at school, so as soon as work finished I dashed into town to meet the kids who had been let out a little early to enjoy their school hero and it was crazy, Luke was inside quite a small bistro in town & we couldn't get near him, he was in there with his sixth form friends and some of the teachers from school and a lucky few that could fit in the bistro but Lois Walsh turned up, got out of his car and walked right in front of us. The school kids went crazy for him, I thought I was back in a mosh pit for a moment ;)
After, Luke was going onto Exeter for the homecoming gig but exeter isn't his hometown :-/ I didn't think we were going to get tickets to get into the gig but the music students at school got offered some so my son managed to get one and gain a couple from his friends who couldn't make the gig :)
On the train we went to Exeter with a big group of the music students where we stood and watched all these people screaming and waiting for our very own little Luke to walk down the red carpet, it felt very surreal hearing people talking about him and getting all excited about touching him when to us he's just one of the music students we've been watching for years.
It was all very staged by xfactor, everything took so long and In the gig I don't think he was allowed to play his own songs. After they had finished filming and with xfactor permission, he was allowed to come out and sing a couple more songs for us, he asked what we wanted to hear and we all shouted out the name of one of our favourite originals of his but you could see he wasn't allowed to play it and he did one he's played on the xfactor.
It was all very interesting and my daughter was so happy to see her hero again. We are all very proud of him.
In this blip you can see luke greeting his fans at the barriers. I couldn't see much as it was all a bit crazy so I just held the camera up and grabbed any random photos I could.
