Ivory gull

This isn't a good shot, but it is my first ever ivory gull so I'm posting it. It was hoped by local birders, that the whale carcase in Evie that I mentioned the other day (it is now identified as a young sperm whale) would attract a type of rare gull from the Arctic- the ivory gull, and, sure enough, one turned up yesterday. Only one or two are reported in the UK every year though this seems to be an unusual winter as about four have been seen. They are very quick to spot carrion. With such a large cache of food as the whale, perhaps more than one ivory will appear! The only problem is that there are gales forecast- we may lose not only the gull, but even the whale.
