Without Looking
12.2C mostly dull with grey cloud and odd spots of rain. Breezy.
Maeve the Deerhound has been making little cries now and again when getting up and not looking quite as perky as she has recently. She has been on phase one of the dose reduction of her anti inflammatory medication for over a week. This morning I put the dose back up to the level it was before we started the reduction process. I will keep it at this level over the weekend and monitor how she reacts.
Maeve and I went for our walk after lunch. We went up to the church and wandered down the field with the bridle path to the shore. The tide was well out. Lots of firm damp sand for walking. Stronger breeze today and small waves rushing at the outer edge of the rocks were evident. There was one distant dog walker.
We wandered along the beach not looking for ceramic pieces or Sea Glass but after a while there were four pieces with some blue in my pocket. Some days on this beach I don't even have to be looking. There were spots of rain falling when we got along to the car park at Westhaven but we walked the few extra yards to the dip at the back of the dunes to find an upturned rowing boat to put the finds on and blip them. The rain soon went off and we got home dry.
I have been researching around my family history puzzle this afternoon using some free online records. With no death registration and only a parish marriage record I have no parents names to work with to help find the birth of the person I am researching. I looked for possibles and now have a short list. From the parents of each possible I have made a list of children born to each couple. Sometimes this can help when compared to the 1841 census returns or if I can find any possible matches on Genes Reunited. Some research on Scotland's People might prove useful too. I have made notes :-)
