Dragon Fruit

This fascinating fruit may be an acquired taste as manyare that are strange to our palate. I think the taste is maybe a cross between a custard apple and a bland dessert called blancmanage...likely not helpful as a description anyway as 'custard apple' is not a common fruit and who can imagine blancmange-like but 'watery'.

While I have read it described as 'watermelon-like', I think some similarity(for the red fleshed variety) is colour, but really the colour is barely 'like' a watermelon. The dragon fruit is very like dragon fruit. :)
