Dark, dark day

Took a long time to 'lighten-up today'. This glimpse of light rapidly disappeared. As ever, the dark hills of Hoy supply the backdrop. You may wonder at the name of the lochan - well it's actually a puddle. Still, the dark day gave me time to devise two dance programmes for our parties next week.

CMC was out 'early doors' today. She went to visit ex-colleagues at school - then on to play two sessions of badminton. She was squeezing in a film and going for a Christmas lunch too. Therefore Baz and myself are having to cope at HQ until late tonight.

A joiner phoned about the cupboard in the Hoy Kirk. A friend, from Dyce, called to ask about dancing. Also had a chat with a pal from Stromness who is the other member of the Orcades John Fahey Quizical Society.
