Recycled

This building was once one of many shoe factories in this area and has recentkly been converted into apartments after standing empty for some years. It is good to see the building renovated and recycled and such a marvellous name preserved!

Arthur Nutt's factory was established in 1897 and was a family business until 1957 when it was taken over by another local factory. Originally it produced footware mainly for Government contracts and in later years industrial safety footware was made there.
