And A Face Appeared

As the xmas holidays get closer and closer I am beginning to daydream about some little art projects and the thought of what materials to use starts to play on my mind.

Today I found these little caps from the gum tree blossoms. They pop off as the flower opens and there are millions of them on the ground around this particular old tree.

I ducked into the supermarket for a plastic bag and came back and scooped up quite a few big handfuls of these! I'll go back tomorrow for more!!

I was quite thrilled because there is nothing better than finding free art materials on the ground :)

Of course I had to have a play around with a handful of them when I got back to work and they just fell into the shape of a face... I called him Mr Eucalyptus because of the strong smell!
