Time Dilation

Einstein predicted that as one travels faster, so time slows down compared with someone left behind. This has been demonstrated experimentally.

However, the opposite is true as you get older. It has been shown that a person's perception of time increases with age.

When I was a child, Christmas took forever to come and the wait was unbearable. But now I fear that Christmas will be upon us too quickly and we will not have got everything ready!

And it cannot possibly be a year since this blip.

My clock, warped by the effects of time dilation, is telling me it is 8 seconds, 9 minutes and 10 hours on the 11th of the 12th 2013.
