Grass

I walked around Deerness today. This grass is being blown by a strong southwesterly wind which was pretty warm. It has blown in rare American birds like a sandhill crane which I saw last night. About half an hour before this, I had found an extremely rare bird for the UK, a yellow-billed cuckoo, which probably was blown east by the same post-hurricane winds that brought the crane.
The grass is on the Brough of Deerness, an outcrop with the remains of an ancient church on it. The orange spot is a buoy on the water.
