What Buggy?

Finally got the double buggy all sorted out today with a little help from my mum and a shopping trip to Grantham.

I bought the buggy a few weeks ago without realising it was an older model to what is currently in the shops. This meant that it is not able to take the hard bodied carrycot that I had really wanted to use. After a look on some online forums I found that soft bodied carrycots and footmuffs a can work just as well. So me (and a not so happy) Mr J took a trip to the shops to have a look at some. I was not impressed at all. They all looked so flimsy. "No way am I putting my newborn into one of them!" I said.

Totally disheartened with my purchase I decided to re-list it on eBay. Well, me and eBay have a long and chequered past and after a 7 day auction, with 13 watchers.... I got zero bids. "What am I going to do now?" I sobbed. I had a buggy I couldn't use and no money to buy another.

I returned to the forums.

And on there I saw some recommendations of brands of soft carrycots that people had also used in their double buggies. The one I liked the sound of the most was by Petite Star (not a brand I had heard of before) and after a little more investigation found one shop nearby that stocked them

So off we went!

And hooray!! It fits perfectly, has it's own little hood and looks really warm and snugly inside. I think little baby will be very happy in there.

I know this has been a very long and probably dull story, but this has been a major issue for me and my pregnancy hormones, for a few weeks and now it's over, I can relax (a little!)
