A special numbers day today – early this morning - well 10 seconds into the 9th minute after 8 o’clock this morning - the dateline read – are you ready for this – 08-09-10-11-12-13 – hence the 11th December 2013 ! Clever or what !

In the days before mobile phones and worldwide telephony coverage, motorists in the UK would find it impossible to summon any help in case of difficulty. Many joined the Automobile Association – AA – an organisation dedicated the helping motorists.
They provided mobile patrols and special roadside telephone kiosks for members only. There are not many left these days but this one stands proudly at the bottom of a steep hill on the York to Driffield road.

PS - this is my entry number 345 for this calendar year - spooky or what !
