not just a junco

Here is a pink-sided dark- eyed junco.
The bird namers did us a favor with this one. There are two kinds of juncos: dark-eyed and yellowed-eyed. Within the dark-eyed species there are six subspecies: slate-colored, oregon, pink-sided, red-backed, gray-headed, and white-winged.
Makes perfect sense to me (except maybe the oregon subspecies -they are seen everywhere, not just in Oregon)
