Smashing!

A fairly normal Tuesday all-round.
Tracy spent the morning narrowing down the choices on washing machines and at lunch we placed our order. Delivery is set for Monday, thankfully we have enough pants and socks to last until then.
In the afternoon Tracy decided to melt some sweets inside star-shaped cutters to make edible decorations. But first they needed breaking up. Every time she hit one with a rolling pin it would refuse to break and ping across the kitchen. It was fun watching Tracy crawl round the kitchen trying to smash-up a sweet.
In the end I brought in a chopping block and my axe - it did the job! What's that saying about a hammer and a nut?
And to end the story, it didn't work as the melted sweets refused to come out of the cutters.
