From the dark corner.....

Yer big pudding!

Sorry! This really is a quickie. I was so tired last night I couldn't get to post this. I never sleep properly on Sundays and last night I was asleep for most of the evening - I made the mistake of starting to watch the Royal Variety Performance on ITV - and that finished me. I watched a couple of episodes of Still Game at 10pm and then dragged myself upstairs.

It was an OK Monday. Usual trip to McDonalds on the way in but then ended up chatting to a delivery man outside the council house for ten minutes waiting for the doors to open. He was really too early with his van of groceries. No it wasn't Tesco Man before you ask. He was pleasant enough with his sleepy eyes in the lamplight. I hate making small talk though. I am going to have to start wearing earphones early in the mornings to deter conversation as so many people do. I was glad when the door opened and I could scuttle through the door to my dark office corner.

Nothing else really happened. I wandered around the graveyard at lunchtime and got a picture of a grim angel. Then I wandered down the High Street and took a picture of a very shifty looking man giving me the evil eye from where he stood outside the Masons Arms. I had a quick wander round the Christmas Market getting in the way of the mad crowds of shoppers running everywhere before finally getting this terrible collection of Christmas jumpers in the window of a shop. It's virtually a self portrait as you can see my reflection on the left. If I'd moved over a tad, it might have looked like I was wearing the pudding. I'm sure many wish I was.....

We were all sent an email last week saying that if we wear a Christmas jumper to work this Friday, you get a free mince pie in Starbucks. Whoopie doo! What a shame I never go into the office on a Friday especially as the whole of IT are supposed to be gathering in the Civic Suite for a festive IT picture. I thought about sending Bony in my place but I think we'll just ignore the whole thing.

That's it. Monday done.

Track? This is fantastic. It's a Jeff Healey version of a George Harrison song. I can't decide which version I prefer. I saw Jeff at Wolverhampton Civic Hall years ago while he was alive (obviously). He was amazing. Some idiot shouted out something rude and I'll never forget Jeff Healey saying 'I'm blind, not deaf!' - While My Guitar Gently Weeps
