first snow

First snow on the ground and son A was on the mend so much that we went out in the afternoon for a half an hour. Don't know why all my pictures were all shaken or out of focus or was it me who was not in focus - but such is life sometimes.

Since I don't trust our (so called!) all season tires too much, I decided to skip their last swimming lesson today because of a couple of very steep hills on the way. Apparently the rest of the family thought I'm a chicken. So much for trying to be a responsible adult (sigh). But nevertheless later tonight when me & hubby ventured down to do the groceries shopping four buses in a row were stuck in the uphill and the light snow had turned really icy. Luckily we made it back, though, so the tires really are slightly better than nothing. And now I know the kind of conditions when buses don't run up here.
