Couldn't resist

Wispier in large.

I know I blip a bluejay about every other day, but after evaluating todays shots, I just couldn't resist blipping this one. Darned pretty (available) birds...

Though, I'll admit, I had a hard time choosing between this beauty above and this completely different beauty. The snowflakes that landed on the window this morning stayed in crystalized form for a brief time, allowing me a chance to try to record them. I attempted that this morning by hand holding my macro lens. If I had taken the time to use the tripod, I imagine that I would have gotten the results I was looking for. However, by the time I thought of the tripod, the temperature had changed slightly and the snowflakes were no longer lasting on the window. Next time... I'll get 'em next time. (In the Flickr flake, I increased the contrast and went with black and white to bring out the most detail I could.)

Anyway, I'm not sure I made the right choice, but I went with my gut and posted the jay. If you're not completely sick of bluejays, here's one more... a twosome.
