Free Spirit

Along the route of the former Gifford and Garvald Railway there are 11 information boards recording the history and memories of local residents. It was opened in 1857 and closed almost 50 years ago and now forms the Pencaitland Railway Path.

This board beside the path is about half a kilometre from the Glenkinchie Distillery which makes a Lowland Malt whisky. I doubt whether the local people would be so lucky now to get any free spirit.
