Centuries Apart

Enchange Tower and Canning Street Lane. Centuries apart in construction and design. Side by side in Edinburgh city centre. Both un-noticed by almost everyone, away from the principle thoroughfares. Both part of my daily routine.

Last night I was at a Saltire Foundation event in Glasgow at which we fellows met the undergraduate interns (from this year and last) for the first time. They seem to be a great bunch, and I think their experiences working for global companies around the world have had a profound inpact on them! There was quite a buzz in the room as we heard from the new chairman of the foundation (Peter Lederer, chairman of Gleneagles) and some of this years interns.

There was, of course, a wee trip to the pub afterwards. Hence I have back blipped for yesterday
