The Passage to the Kitchen
"The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls."
Pablo Picasso
My taste in art is fairly eclectic and we don't have enough space for all our paintings - so many are 'resting'. We had a lovely day at the Picasso Museum in Barcelona several years ago and visits to Salvador Dali's birthplace and museum in Figueres. We also saw Michelangelo's 'David' last year in Florence and it was breathtaking.
But then so too was the Tate Modern in London!
The larger of the paintings in the photo is of the Montrose Seawall by Hugh Rowson, a friend and member of the RSW. The smaller painting is by a local lady, Sheena Burnett, and it was for sale in our village art show. I just adore the colours; they never fail to cheer me up.
