Christmas Market

We went up to Birmingham today to meet some old friends that we have not seen for over a year, and to visit the Christmas Market. We'd been told that the market was a bit tacky but I thoroughly enjoyed it; I've seen some that just looked like a collection of garden sheds in a circle but this had an authentic 'German' feel to it, particularly once the daylight faded and the stalls were all lit up. Good to catch up with friends too over an OK lunch and a very pleasant (and strong) Gluhwein or two.
