Forest and Field

As I was coming home today I went past the old quarry (See here and here). The water has gone and it is now protected by a blipper-proof fence. Glad I took advantage of it while the opportunity was there.

The weather has turned rather cold. The mid-afternoon temperature was under 4 degrees C. I have wrapped the little apricot tree in two layers of frost cloth, and indoors I've lit the fire. On the bright side, it is ideal weather to plant out the pak choi and mini cabbage plants that I raised from seeds. They are looking good.
