YE OLDE ODEON, AYLESBURY

Built in 1927 the old Odeon in Aylesbury is standing here having closed in 1999 & awaiting its fate.

It was refurbished several times in its 80+ years history, most recent was when it was converted to a triple screen.

I can remember coming here many times during my youth & seeing films such as A Clockwork Orange, Tommy, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Lisztomania, Star Wars, The Godfather, The Exorcist & numerous other titles.

The building is deteriorating fast but is surprisingly good inside. Click on the link to see recent pictures of the old place .....INSIDE THE ODEON IN 2013 actually it is in 2009 but you can find up-to-date pictures if you surf the web.
