Posada

We had special guests to stay last night. Mary and Joseph came to stay with us on their journey to the stable. Miss Pink made them a bed on the sofa, with a blanket and cushions, and made sure they had something to read and cuddle. They watched peppa pig with us before going to sleep.
Meanwhile we lit a candle to remind us that it is the start of advent, and reflected on who is at at the centre of Christmas. Miss Pink then drew a picture in the journal accompanying Mary and Joseph, of Baby Jesus laying in the straw. It was a precious moment, and a lovely start to advent.
This morning the children woke the holy couple up, and said goodbye before heading to school. I dropped Mary and Joseph off at the church toddler group ready for their next visit in the village.

This afternoon, I helped miss Pink's class with their dress rehearsal for the nativity play. Oh my goodness, it was all kinds of cuteness!! I'm so looking forward to seeing the final version tomorrow.
