It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas

Today was tree day, so when Wee B decided that a nap was in order after lunch, we got to it, with the plan being to get everything up and sorted before he woke up.

We actually managed to get about 90% of it done and it was well worth it to see his face when he came back down stairs, post nap and he saw the tree.

We decided that each year we would buy him a special ornament for the tree so that when he is older, he will have a starter set of his own. Last year Grandma and Granddad got him one with his name on. This year we bought him one made by a local artist. The peace crane in the bauble is hand folded origami which is then suspended to show the crane in flight. It is delicate and beautiful, and hopefully something that Wee B might like when he gets older. For now it is up near the top of the tree where is is safely out of reach of small hands

I had planned to blip our first log fire from tonight but the shots did not come out as I had hoped so instead you have B's new ornament
