10 Below at the Goldfish Pond

Much to our amazement this morning the outside thermometer was in the negative single digits at our house.

At the nearby Eugene Airport the NOAA weather station reported -10F (-23C ).

It is the coldest night time temperature since 1972 when it went down to -12F.

NOAA calls it “Historic Cold Temperature”.

Whew, I’m so glad this extreme weather doesn’t happen more often than once every 40 years and that it does not stay long when it happens!
