Party time

Look Grandma I can reach...

Sam finding that his birthday cake was just within reach! He is learning new words everyday, whenever he says 'cake' he does it with a broad grin and mimicking his Granddad's thick Lancashire accent!

Today was Sam and Tom's Christening in quite a traditional C of E church, lots of incense and chanting! Followed by a party with friends and family. We met up with lots of people we haven't seen for a while including our God children Bill and Martha who are both incredibly cute.

We left in the early afternoon retracing our route back to drop Mum at Stalybridge train station and then up the M6 to Edinburgh. It was raining and windy and passing all the trucks on the motorway was no fun at all. I didn't much enjoy Andy's game of 'lets see how far we can get with the petrol light flashing' either! It turns out, a good 20 miles... phew!
