Statue, spire and sparkle

Durham today in the market place. Durham was a funny mixture today, too many people, a Christmas thing in a marquee on Palace Green that looked overpriced and consumerist and then some of the riverbank was closed off by police. But still had a nice afternoon with my friend Kate wandering around the edge of the crowds and chatting.
