Kepler track

Despite our Great Walk being called off, we decided to go and walk the first (low level) section of the Kepler track today. Really beautiful walk along the edge of Lake Te Anau and then 'inland' and uphill through beautiful mossy, ferny, forest. We stopped after a couple of hours and Tim cooked us lunch in his JetBoil, then we doubled back - did about 8 miles in all.

Went for a post-walk pie back in Te Anau at Miles Better Pies. So good! Tim cooked again this evening (chilli), and we nipped over to the lake again at sunset. I did get a few nice sunset shots, but I thought this photo summed up the day better.
